Faith Statement

We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of EAPTC International as the Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the EAPTC members and community, it is imperative that all persons employed by EAPTC in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Faith Statement.

God
We believe in the one and only God who is perfect and eternal. He is a Trinity—the Holy Father, the Holy Son and the Holy Spirit. They are equal in power and glory: that is the triune God Who created all, upholds all and governs all.

Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God, our Savior and Lord. We believe that he is the true God and true human being who was incarnated by the Holy Spirit in the Virgin Mary. He, being righteous, is able to bring sinners to righteousness through his sacred blood which was shed for the unrighteous.

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the God of personality Who dwells in the hearts of true believers. He came to lead us, teach us and grant us abilities. We believe in His reproaching of the world of its sins, its righteousness as well as its judgment.

Human Being / Sin
We believe that human beings were originally created in the image of God. However, this perfect image was later degraded through Adam and Eve's disobedience. Human beings from then on were to undergo the process of death in both body and spirit. Therefore, human beings, set apart from God, carry the characteristics of original sin from birth.

Salvation
We believe that the salvation of all men is brought through Jesus Christ and that whosoever repents of his/her sins and believes in Jesus is born again by the Holy Spirit, receives the gift of everlasting life, and becomes a child of God. God also wants His believers to be completely holy by being filled with the Holy Spirit: to live a different life in contrast with sinfulness and worldliness: to dedicate their lives to His will: and to live a life of effective service. Born again believers must have this important, gradual experience.

Bible
We accept the Holy Scripture, the Old and New Testaments, as inspired by God. We believe in the Holy Scripture to be the Word of God—accurate and correct—which provides us the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and Christian conduct. The purpose of this revelation is to show God's concern for the salvation of all men and women.

Church
We believe that the church is composed of all believers in Christ who are redeemed by his blood and born again by the Holy Spirit. Christ is the head of his church. We believe that our important duty is to spread his gospel as God's witnesses to all the nations of the world.

Last Things
We believe in the physical resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous respectively. The righteous will resurrect unto life, and the unrighteous will resurrect unto judgment. We also believe in the imminence of Jesus Christ's second coming. He will return in physical form and will be visible to our world where he will stay to complete the Thousand Year Kingdom. We believe that this second coming, a blessed hope to all believers, stimulates us to lead a faithful life and to live in sincere service to the Lord.

Marriage / Gender / Sexuality
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture such as Gen 2:18-25; 1 Cor 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb 13:4; Matt 15:18-20; 1 Cor 6:9-10. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged outside the context of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and pornography indulgence) is sinful and offensive to God.
